The boiler air preheater is a regenerative heat exchanger for industrial boilers, and heats combustion air via fuel gas, steam, hot water, or oil from the boiler flue. When the exhaust temperature of the combustion system is high, an air preheater is recommended for use. The boiler air preheater works in areas where the fuel gas temperature is lower, absorbs the fuel gas heat, reduces the exhaust temperature, and improves boiler efficiency. As a result of the combustion air’s temperature increase, coal or other fuel burns more efficiently, and the amount of incomplete combustion loss is decreased. Air preheaters are used in lower temperature zones to enhance the fuel combustion efficiency.
